Buildings account on global level for around 40 % of the primary energy consumption and approximately 25 % of the greenhouse gas emissions. Hence, buildings are the sector consuming the most resources on our planet.

Due to this, we took the initiative to establish a new IEA SHC Task on “Solar Energy Buildings”. During its last meeting in Chile in Nov. 2019, the Executive Committee of the Solar Heating and Cooling Program (SHC) of the International Energy Agency (IEA) approved the Task Definition Phase for our planned Task on “Solar Energy Buildings”.

Therefore, we now have the pleasure to invite you to our first Task Definition Meeting. This meeting will take place on March 25, 2020 from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs at the University of Stuttgart.

We have reserved rooms for delegates in the hotel “Motel One Stuttgart, Heilbronner Str. 25”, which is quite attractive and not too far away from the venue.
