The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) will be celebrating the 50th Solar World Congress (SWC50) this year, which will take place in December 2020. A series of digital celebrations will be held after this date, to mark the growth of the solar industry since the first SWC in 1970. This year’s congress is entitled, ‘The Century of Solar’, and it will look at progress made to date and how we can “accelerate the transformation to 100% renewable energy within the next 50 years”. They will be hosting an interesting series of events between December 2020 and November 2021, starting with the SWC50, and the ISES encourage you to regularly check their website for details.
